Assessing Internationally Educated Applicants: Canadian Experience and the Changing Legislative Landscape at CNAR Spring Workshops

Join us for Assessing Internationally Educated Applicants: Canadian Experience and the Changing Legislative Landscape at Canadian Network of Agencies for Regulation’s (CNAR) workshop hosted by World Education Services & Touchstone Institute on Tuesday, May 17 at noon.

To address the human resource shortages that exist in the Canadian healthcare workforce, legislation is proposing changes that will require regulators to consider new practices concerning Internationally Educated Nurses. This workshop will provide information on legislative trends and best practice approaches to ensuring safe practice through means other than the Canadian experience requirement. This will be followed by interactive breakout discussions where participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, explore what these new developments signal for their work, and discuss how they can adapt existing policies and practices to meet regulatory needs within this changing environment.
