Before the Program
A dedicated Online Learning Management System (LMS) has been developed for your use during and after the program. The LMS includes webinar links, online modules, pre-readings (if applicable), formative multiple choice quizzes (MCQs), and session resources.
You will receive LMS access instructions prior to the beginning of your session.
A friendly reminder to ensure that your immunization record is up to date to avoid delaying the start of your training. If you are unsure of your immunization requirements prior to training, please contact your program or PGME office.
During the Program
Once you are enrolled and your attendance is confirmed, your full participation in the Canadian Medicine Primer is expected. Should there be unexpected events or other important life matters to schedule during the program, we are happy to work with you to ensure your participation in the program is not impacted.
All absences from scheduled programming are documented and included in the Learner Evaluation Report provided to your program and PGME office.
Attendance and participation in the Canadian Medicine Primer is the beginning of your postgraduate training in Ontario. Accordingly, it is expected that you demonstrate professionalism as you would in a clinical postgraduate training environment.
To ensure access to all program content, presentations and summary sheets are provided to you on the LMS for review before or after the session.
Our program uses a blended approach to curricular delivery that includes:
- Synchronous sessions
- Simulation with formative feedback
- Asynchronous sessions (if applicable)
- Online modules

To better understand how the program is delivered, please ensure you watch the video above. Additional information can be found on the main CMP page.
