Practice Ready Ontario (PRO) ensures that internationally trained family doctors have the skills and experience to practice in Ontario, helping them make the transition faster and with greater confidence.
This page outlines the program fees and other costs that may apply during the application and assessment process.
Program Fees
There is no fee to apply to Practice Ready Ontario. Candidates are also granted a bi-weekly stipend for 14 weeks while in Orientation and Clinical Field Assessment.
However, you are responsible for the cost of any required exams, licence fees, and other regulatory requirements that must be completed either before applying or as you progress through the program toward independent practice. Most of these fees are standard costs associated with physician licensure and medical regulation in Ontario and apply to all physicians. Some fees, such as those related to internationally educated physician assessments, are specific to internationally trained applicants.
As most fees are established by external organizations and may change over time, this page identifies who sets each fee and links to their current pricing.
