OSCE Standard Setting: Three Borderline Group Methods

Touchstone Institute’s Karen Coetzee, in collaboration with Sydney Smee and Ilona Bartman from the MCC, Marguerite Roy from the University of Ottawa, and Sandra Monteiro from McMaster University, published the article OSCE Standard Setting: 3 Borderline Group Methods (linked).

This study compared the modified borderline group method to two adaptations: regression-based, and four-facet Rasch model borderline group methods. Results indicated that the two adaptations may be more defensible than modified BGM in the context of a smaller OSCE.
